SELECT // Miami Beach

I'm excited to announce that I'll be showing recent watercolors with Claudine Maidique Gallery at Select Fair this year during Art Basel Miami Beach. It's the first time I'll be showing in Miami since 2011 and I'm excited to be back at the fairs, on the beach, and seeing familiar faces. If you are in Miami between December 2nd and the 6th, let me know.

Select Fair is open to the public December 3rd through the 6th, from 11am – 8pm, and on December 7th, from 11am to 6pm. There is a VIP/Press preview on Tuesday, December 2nd, from 4 to 8pm.  Select Fair is located at 7200-7300 Collins Avenue (at 73rd and Collins Ave.), Miami Beach, FL (See map below.)

We Tell Stories

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the MFA Illustration as Visual Essay program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. To mark this special occasion, SVA has mounted a massive retrospective featuring work by over 350 artists who graduated from the program.

Curated by founding chair Marshall Arisman, “We Tell Stories” surveys the vitality and versatility of contemporary figurative artists through thousands of works: editorial art, children’s books, comics, graphic novels, animations, products, paintings and more.

I am honored to be included in the exhibition for my both my fine art watercolors and my work with the independent comic anthology, Rabid Rabbit. The exhibition runs from November 4th to December 17th, 2014 at the SVA Chelsea Gallery, located at 601 West 26th Street, on the 15th Floor of the Starrett-Lehigh Building in New York City. A catalog of the exhibit also exists which can be purchased at the gallery.

The Sex We Have When We Think No One’s Watching

I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Erica Jagger of A Sexy Woman Of A Certain Age, a website focused on boomer women, sex and culture. You can check out our conversation HERE where we discuss censorship, the origins of Dirty Dirty Love, and the importance of talking about sex at any age.

Dirty Dirty Love: The Sex We Have When We Think No One’s Watching

Asheville, North Carolina

Big news everyone! - We've moved to Asheville, North Carolina! After visiting several states and cities, we decided to make Asheville our new home. It's a pretty big change for us considering both Neomi and I have spent the majority of our lives in the Tri-State area (NJ+NY+CT), but it's one that we were eager to make. Western North Carolina is a beautiful place known for it's mountainous landscape, locally sourced food and it's love of beer. We've been here a month and already feel at home in our new city. But don't fret, we plan on visiting the NorthEast regularly and I'm sure work will have me back in NYC in no time.

Follow me on Instagram for photos of our travels and on Facebook for updates about our new home.

Small Works + Camera Fund Art

Last year, when my camera was stolen, I reached out to friends and collectors alike for contributions to help replace my lost gear. In return for their generosity I've photographed, designed, painted and drawn 40+ individual works of art. This week I'll be sending out 14 drawings to 14 of those helpful donors. Many more are still in progress but as promised, I'm posting a selection of the art I've created for the "Camera Fund" HERE on my site. More will be added in the coming months so check back regularly for updates. And as always, you can follow their creation on Instagram by searching #camerafundart.

I'd like to extend a special "Thank You" to any of my contributors reading this now. If you have any questions concerning your pieces please feel free to send me a note.
