Mondo Tondo at Arcadia Contemporary

I am honored to announce that my work will be included in Mondo Tondo, a group show opening this Saturday, March 16th, at Arcadia Contemporary in Pasadena, California. Many thanks to Artefex for supplying each artist in the show with a 24” diameter circular panel on which to make their work. For my piece, I chose to tackle the subject of Ophelia, drawing inspiration from a poem by French poet, Arthur Rimbaud.

On the calm black water where the stars are sleeping
White Ophelia floats like a great lily;
Floats very slowly, lying in her long veils...
- In the far-off woods you can hear them sound the mort.
— Arthur Rimbaud, Ophelia

Mondo Tondo is free and open to the public. The opening reception will be held Saturday, March 16th, from 6-9pm. If you would like to know more about the show or inquire about any of the works show, please contact info@arcadiacontemporary.com.

I am excited to announce that I am showing new work in Spoke Art's upcoming show: TONDO. Opening this coming Saturday, May 6th, at Spoke Art San Francisco, TONDO will showcase work by 50 artists, each tasked with working in the round. "Tondo" is a Renaissance term for a circular work of art, either a painting or a sculpture. For this show each artist brings their own artistic sensibility to the classic form, imbuing circular works with neon, watercolor, oils, cut paper, embroidery and much more. Artists showcased in this group exhibition include Jose Mertz, Nomi Chi, Jeremy MannHelice Wen, Joanne Nam, Jen MannHenrik A. Uldalen and many more.

TONDO opens Saturday, May 6th, 6pm-9pm.
